Uniform

St Nicholas School uniform with school emblem ie. tie,  jumper, cardigan and optional polo shirt can be obtained from:

We ask for no jewellery to be worn except simple digital or analogue watches, plain studs earrings, medical alert bracelets and essential religious emblems. SMART watches and Fitbits are not permitted. For safety reasons these items (including ear-rings) are not permitted during physical education lessons. Long hair should be tied back with small hair accessories in school colours. False nails and makeup are not permitted.

Pre-loved uniform is available from the school office.

Winter Uniform (October half-term to Easter, but acceptable all year round).

(Some can be purchased from most chain stores)

• Royal blue V-necked jumper or cardigan with school emblem (from KS Teamwear)
• Grey trousers, shorts, pinafore dress, skirt or culottes
• White shirt
• School tie
• Black shoes 
• Grey or white socks, navy, black or grey tights
  School shoes should be worn, not trainers or boots (children can change if boots have been worn for the journey in wet weather). Shoes should have a ‘sensible’ heel height. Sling-back shoes and open-toe sandals are not acceptable. Trainers should only be worn on PE days (notified by the school in the weekly newsletter).
   

Reception to Year 2 Classes

• As above but with white polo shirt and no tie all year round
   

Summer Uniform (After Easter to October half-term) – optional, as Winter Uniform is still acceptable

• White open-necked shirt or polo shirt 
• Blue striped or checked dress
• Sun hat
   

P.E. Kit

• Plain white T- shirt with plain navy-blue PE shorts or navy cycling /close fit shorts but must be between mid-thigh and knee length, broadly in line with current loose PE shorts.
• For outside PE = plain navy-blue jogging bottoms/leggings (NOT BLACK) and a school jumper/plain navy-blue hoody is advisable
• Swim hat and costume/swim shorts if swimming as part of PE
• Trainers (school colours ideally, as less distracting)
  We ask that children do not wear any item of clothing with a logo/emblem/brand name eg. a NIKE tracksuit.
