Our Church
Our school has close ties to St Nicholas Church, in Old Shepperton, having been founded as a Church School in 1833. This strong partnership provides opportunities for Christian Worship and community engagement for our children, families and Church members.
The Church's Rector, Reverend Carole George, serves on the school's Governing Body and regularly leads Worship, Eucharist and Bread-Sharing services at the school. She and other members of the Clergy also support the school's Religious Education curriculum. Reverend Sue Wood leads our children in ‘Godly Play’ activities through Bible stories.
Our children visit the Church for events including the Christmas Carol Service (Key Stage 2) and Easter celebrations (Reception and Key Stage 1).

Our Diocese
Church of England Schools have been providing education for the children and young people of London for centuries. Being part of the London Diocesan Board for Schools (LDBS) means that our school is a Church of England school that receives support in promoting an education founded on Christian faith and values, for all children and adults.
The LDBS acts as the educational arm of the Diocese, providing leadership, support, and services to a large number of schools across London and Surrey, ensuring that these schools offer excellent, inclusive education in a Christian context. The LDBS sees its role as serving the common good of the community by providing transformational education and ensuring that all children can flourish.
Our school benefits greatly from this partnership and we work closely with other Church schools to achieve the highest standards. The LDBS website gives further details about their vision, support for their schools and what it means to be a Church School.
