Assessing Pupil Progress

 ANNUAL PROGRAMME OF ASSESSMENT AT ST NICHOLAS

 

Assessment at St Nicholas is an on-going process.  Through observations, questioning, discussions, marking and feedback, teachers and children are able to gain a clear picture of strengths and gaps in learning.  This also ensures that challenging targets are set for each child, that interventions are focused and that all children make the best possible progress.  Regular pupil progress meetings with staff ensure that this is the case and that individual children are carefully tracked.  Set periodic assessments also take place during the school year and are listed below.
